Empirical design (testing your site as you go) puts you at less risk than “genius” design (where you only find out the truth once the site is live).

If your users can’t find the content they want, it doesn’t matter how good the content is.

To make things easy to find on your site, search is not enough – you need a clear site tree – a “skeleton” of headings and subheadings - to help your users navigate.
